CHICAGO — Actor Will Ferrell is coming to the Windy City this fall for a good cause and he's bringing some musical friends.

The 57-year-old comedian is bringing the first-ever Will Ferrell's Ultimate DJ House Party to Chicago at the Wintrust Arena on Saturday, Oct. 26. The show benefits Cancer for College, founded by Ferrell's college friend. The organization supports survivors pursuing their dreams of higher education.

"The city of Chicago is officially on notice," Ferrell said in a video message announcing the event. "We've loaded up the van, filled it to the moon roof with all our favorite records and enough Zima to get us from Irvine, California to the southeast corner of Clark & Wacker. If you’ve ever wanted to party with me and roughly 10,327 of my closest friends, you won’t want to miss this. It’s going to be the ultimate house party and everyone’s invited. To top it off, we’re celebrating
Chicago as the home of house music and supporting a great charity in Cancer for College."

Performers include Swedish House Mafia, house music DJ Terry Hunter, a Chicago native; Chicago rapper Twista; Chicago house music duo DRAMA; and DJ White Shadow, a Chicagoan and creative producer of the event.

"We’re gathering a legendary group of DJs who play everything from hip hop to EDM, yacht rock to R&B, and house music in the city where it was born exactly 40 years ago," DJ White Shadow said.

Other acts committed to attend are D-Nice, A-Trak, Felix Da Housecat with Dallas Austin, DJ White Shadow, Gene Farris, Annalyze, Henry Fong, Matthew Koma, The Captains of Industry, Madds, Boom Boom Room, and Linked Up.

More Chicago-centric musical acts should be announced in the lead-up to the event.

Tickets go on sale Friday, July 19 at 10 a.m.
